  • Glena Dean Allen, 93, of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away January 25, 2019. Glena was born December 12, 1925 to Mansfield and Allie McGar in Whitesboro, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, C.D. Allen, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson, Bill Bland.

    She is survived by her daughter; Jo Ann Terry (Jim), son; Curtis Allen (Judi), grandchildren; Milynda Tays, Leslie Dewald, Clay Allen, Kris Bates, and James Terry, three great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

    A memorial service will be held at a later date at Gribble Springs Baptist Church in Aubrey, Texas. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Arkansas Hospice.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home of Hot Springs Village, AR.

    Jo Ann, I was so sorry to find out that your sweet mother had passed away. My mom and I always called her "smiley" because we never saw her without a smile. When our choir went to Good Sam's to sing Christmas carols, I gave her a hug and looked for you, but they said you had already come and gone. I know she and my mom probably have rooms across the hall from each other in heaven!
